So we made it .... there is internet on the toorcamp. In short: AWESOME.
Its around that dusty at it is in the bike race on "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas". It is somewhere between ridiciously hot and incredible hot. Waaaaay to hot for a european. Our Food is awesome - *real* american steaks yesterday.
The camp side is ... well, things are different over there. Its a old abandoned Titan I Missile Base in western washington.
SUV dominate, and there is a reason for this. When americans go out for camping they think big. One village - the Hackerbot Labs - have 6 sea container and a pirate watchtower in the mittle. Domes are pretty common, and vulnerable. dust devils are common - the whole camp site has been hit by 6 till now. One was walking through our domes, but we stood it - that was really awesome. Damage was only minor and fixed quickly. We had a layer of dust after that everywhere. One other village actually got hit very badly - they packed and drove home. So far i have not been down at the bunker, as the whole area is closed due some asshole who went down the bunker before the event and got caught by the owner. Well. at least stupid - but honestly i really have good fun here.
The sun is beginning to go down and the barbecueue grills are heating up - there will be burgers today evening - handmade by real fres stuff. The americans want to show how burgers are made. There are worse things that can happen to you.
Tomorrow is independence day and i am really looking forward to it. I think there will be some more tomorrow. (at least we have internet now mostly).
